Terms and conditions

Effective from: February 17, 2026

1. Introductory provisions

These terms and conditions govern the rights and obligations between Splim bikes s.r.o.,
ID No.: 22494863, VAT No.: CZ22494863, with its registered office at Veselá 30, 583 01 Sedletín, Czech Republic
(hereinafter referred to as the "Seller") and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the "Buyer"), arising from:

a) the conclusion of a purchase contract for the pre-sale of an SPLIM balance bike,
b) the conclusion of a contract for the loan of a test prototype,

through the online store at https://splim.bike/. (hereinafter referred to as the e-shop)

The Seller is a VAT payer. Prices are listed including VAT.
Legal relations are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.

2. Definition of terms

Pre-sale – conclusion of a purchase agreement for a mass-produced SPLIM balance bike with deferred delivery.

Test prototype (Prototype) – a developmental, uncertified product intended exclusively for testing.

3. Order and conclusion of the contract

The buyer may conclude a purchase contract or a prototype loan agreement via the E-shop.
The contract is concluded upon delivery of the order confirmation by e-mail.

 

PART A – PRE-SALE OF SPLIM BALANCE BIKES

4. Price and payment

The buyer may pay the full purchase price or a deposit in the amount specified in the e-shop.
The balance of the purchase price is payable before the product is shipped.

5. Delivery

The delivery date is approximate.
The risk of damage passes upon receipt of the goods.

6. Rights arising from defective performance

Mass-produced balance bikes are subject to the rights arising from defective performance under the Civil Code.
The consumer may file a complaint within 24 months of receipt.
The product images on the e-shop are mainly illustrative. The actual design of the product may differ in details, especially in color shade, surface finish, and minor structural elements. These deviations do not affect the functionality, safety, or purpose of the product and do not constitute a defect in the goods. The seller reserves the right to make reasonable technical modifications to the product resulting from development, manufacturing, or certification requirements that do not impair its quality or utility.

7. Withdrawal from the contract

The consumer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receipt.
In the case of advance sales, withdrawal is possible at any time prior to delivery.


PART B – LOAN OF TEST PROTOTYPE

8. Nature of the test prototype

The prototype is a development product intended solely for testing. It is not intended for normal use.
It is not certified according to EN 71 or other standards.
Its design may differ from the final version.
It may show signs of wear and tear.
It may have optical defects.
It is not covered by a quality guarantee or rights arising from defective performance to the extent applicable to mass-produced consumer goods.

9. Rental conditions

The buyer shall pay the full refundable deposit.
The buyer shall pay the costs of transport to the buyer.
The first week of rental is free of charge.
From the second week onwards, CZK 500 will be charged for each week commenced.
The fee is offset against the deposit paid.
The maximum amount of fees offset corresponds to the amount of the deposit.
Once the deposit has been fully used up, ownership of the Prototype passes to the Buyer.
The Buyer may return the balance bike at any time.
The Buyer shall return the prototype at their own expense.

10. Loan period

The loan period is calculated from the date of delivery of the prototype to the buyer's address, or from the first delivery attempt if the buyer is not present. In the case of personal collection, the loan period is calculated from the date of personal collection. The loan ends with personal return to the Seller's registered office or handover to a carrier for the purpose of return.

11. Liability and risks

The risk of damage passes to the Buyer upon receipt.
The Buyer is liable for damage, destruction, or loss of the Prototype.
The Buyer uses the Prototype at their own risk.
This does not affect the Seller's liability for damage that cannot be excluded under the law.

12. Safety

The Buyer is obliged to ensure adult supervision.
The use of protective equipment is recommended.

13. Personal Data Protection

The processing of personal data is governed by a separate GDPR document.

14. Out-of-court dispute resolution

The Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz) is the body responsible for out-of-court consumer dispute resolution.

15. Final provisions

The Seller is entitled to change the terms and conditions.
The invalidity of any individual provision shall not affect the validity of the others.
